Patriots cutdown day tracker: Players released, every roster move

The NFL’s cut-down day is here.

Mike Vrabel’s first offseason with the Patriots is about to end, and his first 53-man roster will be revealed by Tuesday night. The team started with a 90-man roster this spring and already got a head start on trimming it down.

On Sunday, the Patriots waived/injured guard Layden Robinson. Last week, they released 14 players: Jaheim Bell, Micah Bernard, Philip Blidi, Isaiah Bolden, Cole Fotheringham, Phil Lutz, R.J. Moten, Kyle Peko, Jordan Polk, Monty Rice, Tyrese Robinson, Sidy Sow, Shane Watts, and Ben Wooldridge.

That brings their roster down to 75 players, with 22 more moves to come.

The Patriots could be very busy this week. They’ll not only release players, but could trade some as well. The Patriots could also acquire veterans via the trade market or bring players aboard via the waiver wire.

The deadline for the roster trim to 53 is by 4 p.m Tuesday.

We’ll keep you updated here with every roster move the Patriots make.
