“Increased” | ExWHUEmployee | West Ham make moves for midfielders

West Ham have six bids in for players during the final vital days of the summer transfer window, it’s been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

As tensions remain high in east London following a very poor start to the Premier League season, attention is very much on the club to address the serious squad issues, with midfield very much considered a huge priority for many.

Reporting on The West Ham Way Patreon, club insider Ex has provided an update on the current situation, with it understood that the club have 6 bids in for players, with movement in those having taken place last night.

“West Ham are said to have increased a couple of bids for midfielders overnight,” stated Ex.

“We were told that we have 6 offers in and it is also thought we have now made a move for Hayden Hackney of Middlesbrough. It hasn’t been officially said who the players were that we increased bids for but one guess on our behalf would be Fernandes or Southampton.

“The situation with the remaining midfielders is interesting. Rodriquez seems to be on the brink of a move to Spain but he has been told that he cannot leave until we have agreed the signings of other midfielders.

“It has also been confirmed that we turned down an offer from Everton for Tomas Soucek. It was always thought David Moyes would make a move for his favourite but it also seems that he features in Potter’s plans going forward too.

“We are also waiting to see if any club makes an offer for Lucas Paqueta too. It is thought we will demand £60m and are not prepared to sell unless we have replacements lined up too.

“Paqueta’s best mate at the club Emerson looks also likely to leave with French side Marseille leading the chase. There were reports yesterday of a free transfer move possibly being on the cards but the club denied that he was going for a free yesterday.

“There are also academy graduates waiting to see what happens before loan moves are initiated for them too so a number of players are in limbo at the moment.”
