Denver Nuggets executives Ben Tenzer and John Wallace visited Serbia's training session in Riga, Latvia, ahead of their EuroBasket 2025 opener.
The Serbian national team has arrived in Riga, Latvia, for FIBA EuroBasket 2025—and they were greeted by some very special guests from the NBA.
Serbia / Schedule
Nikola Jokic's Serbia kicked off its first training session in the late evening, with Denver Nuggets executives Ben Tenzer and John Wallace in attendance, Mozzart Sport reports.
Tenzer is the Nuggets' vice president of basketball operations, having previously served as interim general manager, while Wallace is the team's vice president of player development.
Their main focus is, of course, three-time NBA MVP Jokic, who is expected to lead Serbia at the EuroBasket.
Another Nuggets player, Jonas Valanciunas, is also competing in the tournament with Lithuania. However, he is currently in Tampere, Finland, for Group B games but could join Jokic in Riga for the knockout stage.
Serbia will begin its EuroBasket 2025 campaign on Wednesday, facing Estonia at 20:15 CEST. Group A also features host Latvia, Portugal, the Czech Republic, and Turkiye.
