Eagles roster cuts tracker: Young DB waived; Kyle McCord gone after disappointing camp

The Eagles have made a bunch of roster cuts on Monday.

Cornerback Eli Ricks was the latest player to be waived, according to Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer. Ricks was a solid contributor during his rookie season in 2023, but he didn’t have a role last year and wasn’t going to have one this year.

Rookie quarterback Kyle McCord was waived, according to Jordan Schultz. McCord went 15 of 35 in the Eagles’ preseason finale against the New York Jets and threw an interception to rookie safety Malachi Moore.

The Eagles also let go of two wide receivers — Elijah Cooks and Terrace Marshall — according to the Inquirer’s McLane. Both had been impressive at various points during training camp, but became expendable after the team traded for Houston wide receiver John Metchie last week.

Running back Keilan Robinson was waived, a person with knowledge of the situation told NJ Advance Media. Robinson was claimed by the Eagles off waivers from the Jacksonville Jaguars in June. He was a fifth-round pick in 2024. UDFA rookie RB ShunDerrick Powell has been waived as well, a person with knowledge of the situation told NJ Advance Media.

The Eagles have also waived guard Kenyon Green, per CBS insider Matt Zenitz. Green was acquired from the Houston Texans in the C.J Gardner-Johnson trade and was expected to compete for a roster spot, but he battled multiple injuries during training camp and got stuck with the third-team OL.
