Ex-Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou's stance on Nottingham Forest vacancy

Ange Postecoglou is reportedly not keen on the Nottingham Forest job.

The former [Celtic](https://www.glasgowtimes.co.uk/sport/celtic) boss, sacked by Tottenham in the summer after finishing 17th in the Premier League, is eager to return to the English top flight.

However, Nottingham Forest may not be his desired destination.

Reports suggest that tensions with Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis have placed Nuno Espirito Santo's future in doubt.

Postecoglou has been named as a frontrunner for the potential vacancy.

However, talkSPORT's Alex Crooks indicated that Postecoglou’s camp distanced themselves from the Forest job.

He said: "He wants to return to the Premier League, but it needs to be for the right opportunity."

The name of the Australian manager has caused a stir within the Forest camp.

It is believed that Nuno has been made aware of the potential interest in Postecoglou before his press conference.

Mr Crooks added: "I understand that maybe he was advised to play it down.

"Business as usual.

"Nothing to see here.

"He’s clearly done the opposite, because I think his back has been put out that there’s a possibility that his owner is looking for a new manager when he’s just delivered European football for the first time since the 1990s."

Despite the speculation, Postecoglou appears to be weighing his options for a return to the Premier League, but is being cautious with his next choice of club.
