Sunderland player set to complete loan move – Going through formalities

Sunderland’s Luis Semedo spent the 2024/25 season on loan with Juventus’ Next Gen side.

Given the striker isn’t yet under consideration for Sunderland’s first team, a new loan move is edging closer for the Portuguese.

O Jogo report that the 22-year-old is about to join Liga Portugal side Moreirense.

The newspaper report the move for the Sunderland player is in the final stages and the forward is already at the Portuguese club’s training facilities to undergo a medical and complete the final formalities before joining them.

He will move to Moreirense on a dry loan deal until the end of the season and it will be his second loan away from Sunderland, after joining the club from Benfica in the summer of 2023.

Moreirense are currently third in the Portuguese top-flight and they could prove to be a good opportunity for Semedo to make a mark, with the player having scored over 30 goals for Benfica’s youth sides in the past.
