Fabrizio Romano shares new Jadon Sancho update

Fabrizio Romano has delivered a fresh update on uncertain future Jadon Sancho at Manchester United.

Romano with a fresh Sancho update

Manchester United are still pushing for Jadon Sancho to be moved on before the summer window closes. Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the winger is no longer in the club’s long-term plans.

Roma were leading the chase earlier this week. The player even held talks with their head coach Gian Piero Gasperini as well. But, the Italian side’s sporting director Frederic Massara later admitted the forward was not convinced by the move.

Despite this, Man Utd remain eager to cash in now instead of losing him on a free next year. Reports suggest the asking price sits around £20m. Roma were willing to pay that, but the talks stalled.

Options running out for the winger

The Englishman has not featured in the PL for United since the first half of the 2023/24 season. At the time, he only managed three appearances before heading out on loan. His brief return to Borussia Dortmund revived him slightly. But, **Chelsea**’s refusal to make a permanent move after his short spell showed how complicated his move has become.

With just a week left in the transfer window, time is ticking fast for both Sancho and the club. High wage demands are proving to be a stumbling block. Unless he compromises, Utd may be forced into a late, cut-price deal. Romano insists the club want the situation wrapped up quickly, but the clock is against them.

Author’s Opinion:

Although Sancho has potential, United have ran out of patience. He must lower his demands, and find a team that he feels playing for. He must be willing to kick start his career again. Otherwise, he is running the risk of being on the outside again.
