Cole Palmer partied at Notting Hill Carnival
Chelsea star Cole Palmer went in disguise at the Notting Hill Carnival just days after withdrawing from his team's 5-1 Premier League demolition of West Ham during the warm-up.
The England ace has faced a frustrating beginning to the season after being kept quiet in the Blues' scoreless draw with Crystal Palace on opening day, before missing the West Ham fixture with a groin problem.
Palmer has grown into one of the Premier League's most lethal attacking threats since his switch from Manchester City two years ago. The 23-year-old notched up 37 goals and 20 assists across his first two campaigns at Stamford Bridge.
The Chelsea star, whose grandfather, Sterry, was born in the Caribbean island of St Kitts, turned up at the Notting Hill Carnival on Bank Holiday Monday. The Carnival is Europe's largest street party and celebrates Caribbean culture, seeing Palmer want to get involved.
He took to Instagram to post a video and snapshot from his outing. The clip featured scenes of revellers dancing and chanting to tunes across west London.

In the photograph, Palmer was snapped wearing an amusing disguise of a rastacap, fake dreadlocks and a face covering as he participated in the festivities.
The superstar, who is typically immediately recognisable, tagged the image with his whereabouts and added the caption: "Blendinggg."
Maresca provided an update on Palmer's fitness following Chelsea's triumph over the Hammers, revealing: "Cole, in the last four or five days, was not 100 per cent. Today, he tried to warm up, but he felt something.
"Probably [during the] Palace game he was not 100 per cent. But he is trying to make a big effort for the club, for the team, for the fans. Because he is really keen about the team. Tonight, again, he tried again. But it was not very good."

The Italian boss was keen to emphasise that his squad possesses quality beyond Palmer's abilities, stating: "The ones that they say that we are just a Cole team, for sure, Cole is our best player, no doubt.

"For sure, with Cole, we are a much, much, much better team. But I think we already showed last year, in two, three months, where Cole, unfortunately for us, was not 100 per cent, we achieved top four."
Maresca will be hoping Palmer can recover swiftly before the international break arrives. The Blues welcome Fulham for Saturday's lunchtime fixture, before travelling to face Brentford on Saturday, September 13.
