Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard picked up a shoulder injury during the 5-0 win over Leeds at the weekend.
The Norwegian tried to carry on but he was forced off before halftime on Saturday, with Ethan Nwaneri taking his place.
Currently, there is no estimate as to when Odegaard will return to action, and his fitness is a big concern for manager Mikel Arteta ahead of Sunday’s fixture against Liverpool.
A minor shoulder problem can be managed, but if he has suffered a dislocation, that would rule him out of the trip to Anfield.
Expected Return Date – Unknown
Bukayo Saka
The winger sustained a hamstring injury early in the second half of the match against Leeds.
Saka’s decision to come off made it clear that it wasn’t a minor issue and it has subsequently been revealed that he could be out for up to four weeks.
It is not as serious as the injury that forced him to miss three months of last season, and there is good chance that he will only be sidelined for the Liverpool game.
With the international break coming up very soon, the break in club fixtures could be quite fortunate for Saka.
Expected Return Date – Saturday 13th September vs Nottingham Forest (h)
Ben White
The defender missed training in the build-up to the Leeds fixture and he was subsequently left out of the matchday squad.
There is a feeling that White wasn’t risked for Saturday’s game but he could return for the match at Anfield.
Expected Return Date – Sunday 31st August vs Liverpool (a)
