Agent speaks out after Bayern make contact with £100k-per-week Chelsea attacker

Bayern Munich are back in the race for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson.

The Senegal international is likely to drop down the pecking order at Chelsea following the arrivals of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.

Despite managing 30 goals and 12 assists from 81 appearances in all competitions, Jackson has become surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge, and several clubs are vying for his signature.

The 24-year-old has not made Chelsea’s matchday squad for the last two games, and the Blues are happy to let him go at the right offer.

Chelsea are not looking to sell him on loan. The Blues ideally want a permanent deal, but they could be willing to sanction a loan move with the obligation to sign him permanently next season.

Christian Falk reported already that Bayern have reached an agreement with Jackson, and the two clubs are in direct talks over finding a solution.

Fabrizio Romano further added that Bayern have indeed made direct contact and they are working on the deal to sign him.

Aston Villa and Newcastle United are also keen, with the player apparently telling his friends that he wants to move to Villa Park to be reunited with Unai Emery.

Diomansy Kamara (Nicolas Jackson’s agent) told Foot Mercato: “30 goals in two seasons, without a single penalty.

“Ups, downs… but a page with the Blues is turning. Always grateful for yesterday, but already looking to tomorrow, with optimism. Germany, Italy, England: the options are numerous, the decision is imminent.

“Thank you for the support, we see your messages… Nicolas Jackson, transfer expected within 48 hours, insha Allah…”

Pressure on Bayern to bolster attacking areas

Max Eberl previously quashed rumours when Falk asked him about Jackson, but in recent days, the situation has changed completely.

After missing out on Nick Woltemade, Bayern bosses have told Eberl to focus on loan signings mainly, and it remains to be seen what kind of proposal they submit to Chelsea for Jackson.

The Bavarian giants are also in the race for Chelsea winger Nicolas Nkunku, but like Jackson, they are looking at a loan move only.

The Bundesliga champions have been linked with a move for Fabio Vieira as well, but doubts remain whether they will make a concrete effort to sign the Arsenal winger.
