Last week, Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca told the media Nicolas Jackson isn’t part of his plans this season and said the striker could leave Stamford Bridge.
The Senegal international hasn’t been part of the Chelsea squad this season and his time with the Blues is coming to an end. That’s according to Jackson’s agent Diomansy Karama, and he took to social media to confirm that his client will leave Chelsea.
Wiw Sport have relayed his comments.
The representative said the 24-year-old has several options to pick from between the Premier League, the Bundesliga and Serie A. He added the frontman will soon make a decision on his next destination.
“30 goals in two seasons without a single penalty. Ups and downs… but a page is turning at the Blues,” he said.
“Still grateful for yesterday, but already looking toward tomorrow, with optimism. Germany, Italy, England: the options are numerous, the decision is imminent. Thank you for the support, we see your messages… Nicolas Jackson, transfer expected within 48 hours, In shaa Allah…”
The agent didn’t name the clubs from the aforementioned leagues that have shown interest in the Chelsea player.
On August 18th, Calciomercato reported Newcastle United and AC Milan are in the picture to sign the former Villarreal man. Two days later, La Repubblica suggested Jackson could be available for around €40m despite the English press quoting a higher price.
Earlier this month, Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl stressed he hadn’t held talks over a move for Jackson. However, recent claims from Germany have reported the Bundesliga winners are keen on signing him.
Jackson’s decision is awaited and according to his agent, it’s expected within two days.
