Report: 'Extraordinary' player could now be set to sign for Manchester City on deadline day

With deadline day fast approaching, Manchester City would be hoping to conduct all their possible business before the final day of the summer transfer window.

Pep Guardiola will be hoping to spend as much time as possible on the training ground with his new signings, with there already being plenty of change at the club due to the arrivals of Tijjani Reijnders, James Trafford, Rayan Cherki and Rayan Ait-Nouri.

Manchester City News confirmed that Guardiola’s side could sign Gianluigi Donnarumma — who may take time to bed into the Sky Blues’ system if he were to make the move to the English giants as the Italian is a traditional goalkeeper.

James Trafford struggled against Tottenham as it was clear to see that despite the exit-linked Ederson being named on the bench, City will continue to build out from the back.

Gianluigi Donnarumma could sign for Man City on deadline day

Donnarumma has agreed personal terms with Manchester City and it seems like only a matter of time until he becomes Pep Guardiola’s latest addition.

As far as City’s attack is concerned, Rodrygo looks set to stay at Real Madrid this summer.

The report claims that Galatasaray, who bid £8.5 million for Ederson have also shown interest in the 26-year-old but he has no intention of joining the Turkish giants.

Meanwhile, Manchester United distanced themselves from the prospect of signing Donnarumma, who Khvicha Kvaratskhelia called “extraordinary” — leaving City as his most realistic destination after leaving Paris Saint-Germain.

Fabrizio Romano revealed what needs to happen for Man City to sign Gianluigi Donnarumma

However, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that for Donnarumma to become a Manchester City player, Ederson will need to accept a move to Galatasaray and depart Pep Guardiola’s side.
