“Perfect opportunity” | ExWHUEmployee | Medical booked with other in frame

West Ham are progressing with a deal to sign Soungoutou Magassa, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

As described in the article earlier today, the club are ramping up efforts to bolster the midfield, with huge pressure on the club to address the poor start to the season made by Graham Potters side.

It was first revealed by Ex back in June that Magassa of Monaco is a player of serious interest for both Potter and Kyle Macaulay, with it now understood that the player is set to undertake a medical in east London.

“It appears the offer for Magassa is €20m, consisting of €17m fee + €3m worth of add-ons,” stated Ex.

“Whilst the finer details of the Magassa deal needs to be sorted it appears the player is set to come to England to complete his medical and finalise terms.

“The club now say they are confident that this gets over the line but do maintain we have a number of other bids that could also be accepted in the coming days.”

One player the club are also now showing interest in is Ibrahim Sangaré, who the club are discussing a potential loan with an option to buy agreement.

“We can confirm that there is also interest in Ibrahim Sangaré of Nottingham Forest,” added Ex.

“West Ham were very close to signing the player when we signed Edson Alvarez and now following a lot of recruitment from Forest this summer he could be available.

“The 27 year old Ivory Coast International joined Forest for £30m from PSV and West Ham are exploring a loan deal with option to buy. As we covered in other updates the domestic loan market will also be explored and this is the perfect opportunity.

“The player has only been offered to the club today by agents and this will happen with other players too.

“West Ham look to be trying to rebuild the midfield this week with offers in for 8 players now.”
