Manchester United and Real Betis have reached an agreement in principle over a deal for Antony to return to Spain, according to Mike McGrath.
The Red Devils have spent the summer bolstering their attacking options this summer with the arrivals of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko, with Ruben Amorim making it clear that Brazil international Antony had no future at Old Trafford.
The former Ajax man spent the second half of last season on loan in Seville with Betis and had an outstanding campaign, helping them reach the Europa Conference League final as he scored nine goals and registered five assists in 26 appearances.

Antony, who currenty earns £150,000-a-week at Old Trafford, has not been part of Amorim's squad this summer and was left out of the pre-season squad that travelled to the USA, while he hasn't trained with the first-team either.
La Liga outfit Betis have been in talks all summer about a move to take him back to the club this season, with McGrath reporting that talks have been held over another loan deal with an obligation to buy next year.
With just six days remaining in the transfer window, it has now emerged that an agreement in principle has been reached between the two clubs, which will see a deal advance now.
There is an expectation that this final week in the window will be about outgoings at Old Trafford, with Alejandro Garnacho also expected to depart amid strong interest from Chelsea, while Tyrell Malacia and Jadon Sancho are also not in Amorim's plans for the upcoming season.
Goalkeeper Senne Lammens is expected to arrive from Royal Antwerp after talks advanced on a £17m deal, with the player already agreeing personal terms to join, while there is also interest in adding a midfielder if the right opportunity arises.
