Christian McCaffrey Had Candid Advice For Brock Purdy

The San Francisco 49ers have been viewed as one of the most complete teams in the NFL for several years.

They tend to have one of the best offenses in the league each year, and their defensive prowess continues to be impressive under coach Shanahan.

2024 was a down year for them, which could take the wind out of their sails, but as long as they are healthy, anything is possible in 2025.

The NFC is wide open, as several teams could make a run to the Super Bowl.

The Philadelphia Eagles are a prime example of that, as not many people believed they had what it took heading into last season, but they found a way to stay healthy, put it all together, and hoist the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the year.

San Francisco certainly has the pieces in place to make this happen again, and it seems like they have recaptured that championship mindset.

Brock Purdy shared as much in a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, quoting teammate Christian McCaffrey, who talked about the journey that NFL players take, and mentioned being aggressive with the opportunity they’re presented with.

“Don’t finish your 10-year career and have all these regrets, man. Let’s go all out for this window we have in our life to play football for the Niners and go win a championship,” Purdy said.

McCaffrey talked about wanting to be all-in for the 49ers, a team that has a strong belief in him and Purdy.

The 49ers traded for McCaffrey from the Carolina Panthers, a move that has already reaped a lot of benefits, and the team’s big risk in starting Mr. Irrelevant (Purdy) has also been strong.

It will be interesting to see if they can take this momentum and energy and turn it into tangible success just one year after the wheels completely fell off.
