“I’m told...” - Fabrizio Romano says new club have made phone call to sign Garnacho alongside…

Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho was subject to a new approach from a Saudi club in recent days as a move to Chelsea is yet to materialise, according to GIVEMEPOSRT senior reporter Fabrizio Romano.

The Argentina international has been told he has no future at Old Trafford under manager Ruben Amorim following a public fallout at the end of last season, and has not been part of the club's pre-season preparations or their opening two Premier League games of the season.

It has been reported by Romano and GIVEMESPORT correspondent Ben Jacobs that Garnacho has already agreed personal terms with the west London side, but so far no deal has been agreed, and it has now emerged that Saudi clubs are still circling for a deal.

"Important to say, guys, that the feeling of the last 24-48 hours is for Alejandro Garnacho, clearly, to go to Chelsea.

"[The]Garnacho camp [are] very optimistic about that. Turning down all the other approaches.

"I'm told that also, a Saudi club called again in recent days to ask about the situation. Why is Garnacho still not going to Chelsea? Can we enter the deal? The answer was, 'thanks, but it's not about the money.'

"Garnacho wants to play for Chelsea, and so Chelsea and Garnacho maintain this agreement they have on personal terms, and this feeling to get a deal done for sure before deadline.

"So work in progress for Alejandro Garnacho to Chelsea. I expect this deal to happen."
