Everton are looking into a possible move for West Ham’s Tomas Soucek, but David Moyes should avoid his former player.
This transfer window, there have been rumours circulating that Soucek will be joining the Merseyside club.
The reason why these reports have emerged is down to Soucek reuniting with Moyes at Everton.
Everton had an offer rejected for Soucek as the Toffees are still looking to bolster their midfield.
Although the Czech Republic international does have a good Premier League pedigree, one player in the Everton squad is proving why they don’t need his services.

Tim Iroegbunam is proving why Everton don’t need Tomas Soucek
It’s only two games into the new season, but Moyes has a resurgence taking place in his ranks.
Since Tim Iroegbunam’s £9 million move from Aston Villa last summer, it hasn’t exactly been smooth sailing.
The midfielder has struggled for game time, but fans thought Iroegbunam was immense vs Brighton.

From this encounter, the 22-year-old has the chance to remain a consistent presence in the squad, as he was excellent at ball-carrying and worked well in the pivot with Idrissa Gana Gueye, and it looks as though Sean Dyche’s verdict is coming true.
"He's gone under the radar in most people's eyes – including our own!" 🌟

Iroegbunam needs to impress Moyes this season, and although Soucek is already the go-to man for the Scotsman, this start to the season has one obvious answer for the Toffees boss.
Tim Iroegbunam has beaten Tomas Soucek in every defensive department at Everton this season
It’s early to jump onto one good performance, but there is every reason the midfielder can become a success.
In terms of Soucek, the West Ham star is 30, and with Moyes seemingly looking to build a younger squad, Iroegbunam’s age already gives him the advantage.
Looking at the opening two fixtures of the season, it’s also the former Aston Villa man who comes out on top over the Czech midfielder in every aspect defensively.

The reason why this is a fair comparison in terms of the Toffees is that Moyes doesn’t need more attacking prowess, as the Brighton game proved the fluidity of the lineup worked well.
Instead, someone needs to accompany Gueye, and so far, Iroegbunam has been the perfect fit in terms of defending and making progressive yards.
Iroegbunam is an incredible interceptor, and the 22-year-old will only continue to improve with a solid amount of game time at Everton.
