Speculation continues to swirl about the future of Jorgen Strand Larsen, and one publication has now shared a figure that could see Wolves sell to Newcastle United.
Wolves rejected a £50 million offer from Newcastle for Strand Larsen on Monday, before the Magpies faced Liverpool in the Premier League.
It was then claimed that Newcastle would return with another offer for Strand Larsen.
Wolves apparently didn’t feel Newcastle could make an acceptable offer for Strand Larsen, but in recent hours the narrative has started to shift.
Fans are now worried that Wolves will cash in on Strand Larsen, with that second Newcastle bid apparently imminent.
And one publication has shared information regarding what figure Wolves may do business at.

Just days ago, the narrative was that Wolves would not sell.
There is just one week left in the transfer window, and Wanderers were said to have felt there would be little chance of signing a decent replacement for the Norwegian.

But now, the noises are very different, and all of a sudden Strand Larsen’s exit from Molineux is looking a genuine possibility.
And according to the Northern Echo, Wolves could sell if Newcastle present a total package worth £60 million.

Newcastle’s first offer of £50 million was rejected.
But they are apparently set to come back in with a slightly improved bid, with potential add-ons. If the total package can reach £60 million, it’s stated there is an ‘expectation’ that Wolves will sanction the sale.
It’s also mentioned that Newcastle now regard Strand Larsen as ‘much more attainable’ than Yoane Wissa of Brentford.
Wolves are playing with fire with potential Strand Larsen sale
If Wolves sell Strand Larsen for £60 million in total, then they will have definitely sold him for more than his true market value.
However, Wolves would still be playing with fire sanctioning a sale, because he is a proven goalscorer in the Premier League, and it’s difficult to see where else the goals are going to come from for Wolves if he goes.
It is just a shame this is happening now, and not a month or two ago.
That said, if Newcastle were pursuing him earlier, then we would perhaps not be talking about this kind of money. The Magpies clearly now need to pay over the odds to prise a key player away from another club at this stage.
But Wolves would have just days to sign a replacement, and it’s probably unlikely they’re going to land on their feet by signing a quality difference-maker at such a late stage.
