Real Madrid forward Rodrygo could be tempted to join Manchester City after being left out of Brazil’s squad for their World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Bolivia, according to reports.
Head coach Carlo Ancelotti cited Rodrygo’s lack of game time as the main reason for his omission, and speaking to TBRFootball, journalist Graeme Bailey suggested that next summer’s World Cup will be on the player’s mind if he decides to make the switch to the Premier League:
“I am told that Rodrygo has been edging towards England and this decision from Ancelotti has been seriously noted by Arsenal, Man City and the intermediaries working on this deal.”

Rodrygo is a Man City target
Several respected sources have confirmed that Pep Guardiola’s side could make a move for the 24-year-old if they offload Savinho.
Tottenham have been trying to secure the City star’s signature, with a bid in excess of €70m still anticipated before the transfer window shuts.
However, if Rodrygo does not signal his intention to leave Real, Savinho will not be sold for any price.
Real are ready to let the player go
While Rodrygo did start the 3-0 win over Oviedo at the weekend, it looks as if the Brazilian will be in direct competition with compatriot Vinicius Jr for a place on the left wing.
At the moment, it seems as if Rodrygo is ready to fight for his game time, but it remains to be seen if concerns about his selection for the national team will play a part in his decision to leave the Bernabeu.
Real are said to be prepared to sell him. A fee of around €100m (£86m) has been suggested, but some reports claim he could be available for a lot less than that.
