Chelsea give player 48 hours to decided to join them–Short deadline on big move

Earlier today, Catalan newspaper Sport made a big claim about a Chelsea offer forFermín López. The Premier League club were said to have proposed €50m and Barcelona weren’t dismissing the idea entirely.

Hansi Flick’s side are still having issues registering all their summer signings and as it stands there’s the distinct possibility one or two players will miss out. The sale of someone like Fermín López, who represents complete profit, would solve all of those issues in one go.

That’s why there’s been multiple Barcelona youngsters linked with Premier League clubs over the past couple of weeks. As far as Sport has it, Chelsea have made a €50m formal offer.

The Athletic then tried to calm that down a little, whilst stating there is serious interest from the Blues.

Mundo Deportivo, another Catalan newspaper, now report that according to their information, Chelsea have given Fermín López a deadline. They want the 22-year-old to decided over the next 48 hours whether he wants a move to Stamford Bridge or not.

Should the youngster say yes, then Chelsea will push their efforts with Barcelona.
