Player makes it clear he didn’t want Nottingham Forest – Told his agents to leave him alone

VfB Stuttgart star Jamie Leweling has insisted he had no intention of joining Nottingham Forest this summer despite their attempts to get him.

Sudwest explain that Nottingham Forest wanted to sign the 24-year-old this summer and even made an offer totalling around €25m. This was rejected by the Bundesliga club and Nottingham Forest went elsewhere.

He was asked directly about their bid to get him on the show and whether he was tempted to accept, to which he replied _“No, that’s why I’m sitting here.”_

The website also explains that interest in Leweling was unsurprising given his performances for the German side.

He’s established himself as a regular starter since joining them on loan in 2023. That move was made permanent for €5m last summer and he has 10 goals and 10 assists in 77 games for the club so far.

Those numbers brought in Nottingham Forest and other suitors, but he admits he’s not interested in any rumours and has urged his agents to stay away from him.

_“I always tell my agents to keep such things far away from me,”_ he added.

_“That’s why I don’t have much to do with what the clubs and agents do among themselves. I want to play football, I want to score goals, and the rest will follow eventually.”_
