Jack Grealish impressed on his Everton home debut on Sunday afternoon as the Toffees earned their first win of the new Premier League season with a 2-0 win over Brighton.
Excitement was in the air for Everton fans as they played their first competitive match at their new Hill Dickinson Stadium, but that was added to by the England international playing in front of his new fans for the first time.
Grealish joined Everton on loan over the summer as the winger knew he would have to play football regularly this season if he wanted to have a chance of going to the World Cup next summer.
The move also makes the 29-year-old one of the main men at his new team, and Troy Deeney loved what he saw the Man City loanee’s new teammates do for him throughout the Brighton win.

Everton always looked for Jack Grealish
Man City fans were left impressed by Grealish’s performance against Brighton as the winger assisted both goals in Everton’s 2-0 win over the Seagulls.
Grealish even credited Kevin De Bruyne for his second on the day, with his overall display impressing Deeney.

The pundit included the City loanee in his BBC Team of the Week and stated that he loved how his teammates looked for him at all times, which is something that never happened at Manchester City.
“Jack was fantastic. It was great to see him smiling and playing with freedom, with Everton looking to find him on all occasions – and he delivered with two assists. Jack playing well is not only good for him but also for England,” Deeney wrote for the BBC.
Sam Allardyce recently said that Grealish would be a success under David Moyes at Everton, and the Englishman has made the perfect start.

While Pep Guardiola is at the club, it is very unlikely that Grealish will ever return to Man City, but if he keeps playing like this, the 29-year-old will earn himself a big move next summer.
The Englishman’s main focus now is to help Everton and impress Thomas Tuchel, as it would be a dream for the winger to represent his country at the 2026 World Cup, having missed out on the 2024 Euros.
