Ahead of the September 1st transfer deadline, another player is set to leave Leeds United.
The summer transfer window is approaching its finale, and for Leeds United it’s been a steady window on the whole.
Recently, Leeds United confirmed the signing of James Justin from Championship side Leicester City.
The full-back becomes Leeds’ 10th signing of the summer window, and there have been some exciting names arriving at Elland Road, with the 49ers having spent more than £100m on new players.
With that, and with Daniel Farke looking like he could sign one or two more players before the summer is out, Leeds are now focusing on player sales.

Sam Greenwood set to leave Leeds United
Recent reports have revealed how Isaac Schmidt is set to leave Leeds United. Last time round, the Swiss full-back didn’t make a single start in the Championship despite joining the club just that summer. Now the Whites are set to sell Schmidt for a £3m fee to Werder Bremen.
And now Fabrizio Romano has dropped yet more Leeds United transfer news, revealing that Sam Greenwood is set to leave the club and join Polish side Pogon in a three-year deal with a one-year option for a fee of around €4m (£3.5m).
It brings an end to what has been quite an arduous time for Greenwood at Elland Road with just 35 first-team appearances since joining from Arsenal’s academy in 2020.

Sam Greenwood’s career so far as Leeds United exit looms
For Greenwood, a move to Poland is certainly a risk. That’s especially true considering that Greenwood was wanted by Leicester City this summer, which could have been a much safer bet for the former Arsenal youngster.
But he deserves credit for taking this risk and it’s a great chance for him to finally start to play some regular football and to fulfil that potential that the likes of Marcelo Bielsa saw in him.
And for Leeds, it’s decent business. Claiming back £3.5 million on the player takes a small dent out of their summer spending so far whilst also taking a chunk off the wage bill too.

Middlesbrough 38 5 3
Leeds 35 1 5
So far in his career, Greenwood has played for the likes of Sunderland, Arsenal and then Leeds as a youth player, spending time on loan with both Middlesbrough and Preston during his time at Elland Road.
Last season was at Preston where Greenwood scored seven goals in 45 total appearances compared to scoring five goals in 38 total appearances for Middlesbrough.
His new club Pogon finished in 4th place of the Polish Ekstraklasa last time round, narrowly missing out on a place in Europe.
