Earlier claims from Portugal stated Jakub Kiwior could be in Porto today to complete his transfer from Arsenal, but the timeline has shifted.
Sebastião Sousa-Pinto now reports that the defender’s scheduled flight has been cancelled, with both clubs still working through the finer points of the agreement.
The expectation remains that the Poland international will travel later this week, once the last details are resolved. Sources in Portugal continue to stress that the deal is imminent, despite this delay.
As we reported earlier, Kiwior is due to join on an initial loan before a permanent move is triggered at the end of the season. Porto have been pushing to get everything wrapped up as quickly as possible, with the clock ticking before the window closes.
For now, the Dragons must wait a little longer, but there’s confidence on both sides that the transfer will go through and that the defender will reinforce Sérgio Conceição’s squad in the coming days.
