Anthony Edwards Makes Bold Claim About NBA Legend

During his time in the NBA, Yao Ming of the Houston Rockets was a towering menace who could shut down just about everyone in the league.

But that doesn’t scare Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Edwards recently stated that he could get past Ming and even dunk on him, despite an insurmountable height difference.

“I wud dunk on Yao shout out to one of da greats,” Edwards posted on social media.

To some, this might sound ridiculous, but it’s another reminder of the confidence that Edwards has in himself and his abilities.

Ming is 7-foot-6, while Edwards is 6-foot-4.

That means that Edwards would have to quite literally fly if he wished to get over Ming’s head and dunk on him.

And while he has shown an aggressive and unstoppable attitude throughout his career, Edwards hasn’t proven that he can reach those heights.

It’s not surprising to hear the Timberwolves star make this sort of statement because he has never backed down from his confidence.

During his five years in the league, Edwards has been his own biggest fan and supporter and always thinks he is capable of taking on the rest of the NBA.

That belief has helped him and turned him into his team’s most important star and one of the biggest young talents in the association.

He has also shocked the world with some explosive dunks.

Every year, he has at least a few that make the rounds on social media and instantly become viral moments.

Last season, Edwards averaged 27.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists.

He’ll never be able to prove that he can dunk on Ming, but he will repeatedly show that he’s a true force to be reckoned with.
