**Alexander Isak was visited at home by Jamie Reuben and Jacobo Solis on Monday, as the owners have now stepped in to resolve the standoff that has hung around Newcastle United's neck all summer.**
Craig Hope broke the news of the visit shortly before kick-off in last night's enthralling 3-2 defeat to Liverpool.
Hope spoke on his [YouTube channel](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXM_8cqgxPM) at full-time, confirming his story that the owners have now got involved, but at the time, the journalist had no further update.
On Tuesday, Craig Hope followed up with a post on X that suggests Isak is unmoved by the recent events.

Alexander Isak hasn't changed his mind despite the owners' intervention
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Alexander Isak is digging his heels in with less than a week left of the transfer window.
> ⚠️ As reported on my YouTube video last night, there was nothing following the secret meeting (revealed below) to suggest Alexander Isak has had a change of heart

> 🇸🇪 I’m told today he is not affected by the noise & remains intent on getting his move to Liverpool
Alexander Isak is looking increasingly likely to remain at Newcastle beyond next week's transfer deadline
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The situation is getting desperate for all parties now, but the longer it ticks on, the more likely it is that Isak will be a Newcastle United player this time next week after the window has closed.
As for whether he will be reintegrated into the team will be on him, with Eddie Howe having left the door wide open for that possibility.
Newcastle simply can't afford for him not to play. Not so much from a financial aspect, we're sure the PIF would happily let him rot, but from a goal-scoring perspective. Newcastle are desperate for someone who can put the ball in the back of the net, and Isak will know this and will use that to his advantage as he holds on to his last little piece of leverage.
