Nottingham Forest are currently €7m short of Juventus’ asking price for Nicolò Savona but negotiations are ongoing over the transfer.
That’s [according to journalist Gianluca di Marzio](https://x.com/DiMarzio/status/1960376417935335709), who reports that Nottingham Forest have offered €11m for the 22-year-old right-back but Juventus are currently looking for €18m.
Negotiations are ongoing between the two clubs about the transfer, with an agreement likely to be met somewhere in the middle.
Nottingham Forest have turned their attention to Savona after being frustrated in their attempts to sign José Ángel Carmona from Sevilla.
They had an agreement in place with the Spanish side for the 23-year-old, but he has so far proved resistant to the idea, making it clear that he would prefer to remain with his boyhood club and not move to England at this moment in time.
While reports in Spain have suggested that his stance could change before the end of the transfer window, it seems Nottingham Forest have turned their attention elsewhere.
They’re now working on a deal with Juventus for Savona but are currently €7m short of the asking price that the Italian side have set on him.
[Gazzetta dello Sport](https://x.com/Gazzetta_it/status/1960377234394317220) add a little more detail, stating that Nottingham Forest have offered €12m. That’s been rejected by Juventus who want to include bonuses and a percentage on a future sale so the overall deal is worth €15-20m.
They’re open to the sale as the money from it could help to open up the transfer window for them, with manager Igor Tudor offered 2-3 additions.
