David Moyes will surely make several changes as Everton face Mansfield Town in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.

Everton will host Mansfield at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in the second round of the domestic cup competition on 27 August, which the Toffees will surely think about winning.

Moyes gave Harrison Armstrong his first minutes of the season in the 2-0 win against Brighton in the Premier League.

The 18-year-old will undoubtedly be hoping to start against the League One outfit, and needs to prove his worth if given the opportunity.

Adam Aznou and Youssef Chermiti must make Everton statement vs Mansfield Town

Adam Aznou signed for Everton from Bayern Munich this summer but has yet to feature for them.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES

The Morocco international hasn’t played any competitive minutes yet for the Blues due to slight fitness concerns, but should be ready to face Mansfield.

As for Youssef Chermiti, it feels like now or never for the young striker who spent most of his time in the treatment room last season.

The 21-year-old is behind Beto and Thierno Barry in the pecking order and must impress Moyes if he gets to play in the Carabao Cup to possibly get back into the Scottish manager’s plans.

Yousseff Chermiti and Harrison Armstrong could leave Bramley Moore-Dock

Chermiti has been linked with a move to Rangers this summer, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Toffees look to send him away before 1 September.

The former Sporting CP ace has failed to live up to expectations at the Merseyside outfit so far, leading to questions around him.

Derby County want Armstrong to return on loan in the ongoing transfer window after an impressive stint at Pride Park.

The Toffees haven’t won a trophy in 30 years.

Southampton knocked the Blues out of the Carabao Cup’s third round last season.

The Merseysiders will return to Premier League action against Wolves on 30 August.

Everton may be wise to keep the midfielder, though, as he has shown a lot of potential during pre-season.

The Blues may need Armstrong in their squad for this season to maintain their squad depth.

Mansfield could present a decent opportunity for some Toffees players to make a positive impression on Moyes for the ongoing campaign.
