Analyst Makes A Big Prediction About Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins don’t look as strong heading into the 2025 NFL season.

They’ve raised concerns throughout the offseason and training camp, and with the AFC East possibly getting stronger, they might be in trouble.

FOX Sports host Danny Parkins predicted that the Dolphins will finish at the bottom of the division this season.

“I don’t think anyone was willing to go this far with the fourth-place team [in the AFC East], but the Miami Dolphins are coming in last in this division. They cannot win or score points when [Tua Tagovailoa] doesn’t play, and Tua, routinely, doesn’t play. He’s played a full season once in his career. He missed six games last year. They scored 13 points a game. I don’t trust a team that can’t score without a quarterback who often doesn’t play,” Parkins said.

Mike McDaniel is the favorite to be the first head coach fired this season.

He’s been given plenty of weapons to work his offensive magic, and while the early results were incredibly promising, the team has yet to get over the hump and end its decades-long playoff-win drought.

Of course, that’s not entirely on him.

As Perkins pointed out, Tagovailoa has had multiple injuries throughout his career, including multiple career-threatening concussions.

The Dolphins have failed to operate efficiently without their quarterback.

But even when he’s been available, they’ve struggled to keep up with contending teams, only blowing out lesser squads.

The New York Jets look marginally better than they did last season, but even if quarterback Justin Fields isn’t the answer, they should be quite strong on defense.

As for the New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills, they’re expected to compete not only for a playoff spot but also for the top spot in the division.

If the Dolphins struggle early, McDaniel might not be the only one leaving during the season.
