Brighton forward Julio Enciso’s expected move to the BlueCo network – Strasbourg first, Chelsea later – has hit a major obstacle, according to reports from Paraguay.
Speaking this Tuesday on [**Versus Radio**](https://x.com/SomosVersusPY/status/1960360090608791727), journalist Andrés Rolón revealed that the transfer is currently “stalled” after the 21-year-old’s medical tests last Friday did not deliver the results that were hoped for.
Enciso has since been sent for additional examinations on his knee, raising doubts over whether the deal will go through.
Rolón explained: _“The operation is stalled. The medical tests from Friday did not come out as expected and Julio Enciso will undergo complementary tests on his knee. Based on the information we have here, today we can say the transfer to BlueCo is very complicated.”_
He added: _“From what I’m told from England, if I had to bet, BlueCo will not buy him. I hope I’m wrong, but I think the transfer will not be completed. Tomorrow, Wednesday, should be the decisive day for a definitive decision.”_
Enciso had been expected to join Strasbourg this summer in a deal worth around €15-20m, with the Chelsea-linked ownership group securing his future. Now, however, medical concerns mean there is uncertainty over whether the move will be finalised at all.
Rolón added that despite the situation, those close to Enciso say he is “strong, calm and expectant” as he waits for a final verdict.
Wednesday is expected to be the key day to determine whether the deal happens or collapses.
