Wolves fans heard chanting for one man at Molineux twice during first-half of West Ham clash

Wolves are taking on West Ham United tonight in the second round of the Carabao Cup – and fans could be heard chanting for one man in what was a drab first-half.

Wolves went into this game off the back of two defeats in the Premier League, just like their opponents tonight West Ham.

A win would be absolutely ideal to just kick-start the season and raise the confidence of the squad.

It has been a tough summer for Wolves in the transfer window, and fans are feeling concerned about the state of play right now.

Manager Vitor Pereira has not been shy in sharing his feelings about the need to strengthen, and hopefully his superiors will deliver for him in the coming days.

But hopefully tonight will yield some positivity, with Wanderers currently 1-0 up against the Hammers.

Certainly, there is still huge faith in the Portuguese for a lot of Wolves fans.

Tonight at Molineux, in the 11th minute of the game and for around 25 seconds straight, supporters inside the ground chanted ‘Woah, Vitor Pereira’.

The crowd then made the same chant briefly moments before the half-time whistle.

Pereira has a fantastic relationship with the Wolves fanbase for what he has achieved at the club so far.

Tonight’s show of affection for the manager in the first-half was nice to see, and hopefully it will have been noticed by those who are making the decisions above him.

A subtle message to Fosun

One can only hope that Fosun were paying close attention to the show of support for Pereira.

This is a man who has the potential to do great things with Wolves.

But he needs the support from above.

He has it in abundance from the supporters, but if he is to achieve anything meaningful then Fosun simply must back him to the hilt.
