**Cavaliers** wing **[Max Strus](https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/s/strusma01.html?utm_medium=linker&utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&utm_campaign=2025-08-26_bbr)** underwent surgery on Tuesday to repair a Jones fracture in his left foot, the team announced today ([Twitter link](https://x.com/cavs/status/1960429967311036919)). The injury occurred during an offseason training session.
According to the Cavs, Strus is expected to resume basketball activities in roughly three to four months. That means he’ll be sidelined for the start of the regular season, which will get underway in less than two months.
