Though Ivey (who many considered to be a draftable player out of Ole Miss this past draft) is listed as an outside linebacker, he seemingly will play more with his hand in the dirt and will be a backup to Leonard Williams and DeMarcus Lawrence. It will be interesting to see if Mike Morris, who has been dealing with a concussion, will make the roster as well.
Last season, the Seahawks also had two UDFA’s make the roster: cornerback Dee Williams and center Jalen Sundell. Williams was waived later in the season. Meanwhile, Sundell is going to be this year’s starting center. Time will tell if either Ivey or O’Toole will have a Seahawks career more like Williams or Sundell (or something completely different than either).
