Arsenal have had a productive transfer window with seven signings.
The Gunners have primarily focused on bolstering the frontline this summer.
They have brought in Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze to strengthen the attack.
Eze looks poised to make his debut against Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday.
Manager Mikel Arteta would have ideally preferred to ease Eze into Arsenal action, but he could choose to pick him in the starting XI at Anfield after a double injury blow.
Bukayo Saka has been ruled out for the next few weeks with a hamstring injury, while Martin Odegaard is also a major doubt to face the Reds due to a shoulder problem.
Two positions Eze could be starting vs Liverpool
Eze primarily played as an attacking midfielder for Crystal Palace last season. He was hugely successful from the position with 14 goals and 11 assists across all competitions.
Arteta acknowledged in his post-match press conference against Leeds United that Eze can operate as an attacking midfielder on either side. He could be a candidate to start in the role.
An alternative choice could be to play him from the left wing position. Eze has the knack for cutting inside from the left flank as seen on many occasions during his time at Selhurst Park.
Arteta has said that Eze is ‘very comfortable‘ shifting off the left. We would ideally prefer to start Gabriel Martinelli in the role, considering his brilliant track record versus Liverpool.
Martinelli has accumulated eight goal contributions from just 12 appearances against the Reds. The Brazil international tends to produce his best against the Reds and could make the XI.
We could see an attacking trio of Martinelli, Eze and Noni Madueke (or Ethan Nwaneri) behind Viktor Gyokeres at Anfield on Sunday.
If Odegaard is deemed fit to start against Arne Slot’s side, Arteta has a big decision to make between Martinelli and Eze on the left wing.
