Former Wolves and West Ham player Matt Jarvis watched his two old clubs square off at Molineux in the Carabao Cup.
Both teams were hunting for their maiden victory in the new season, and Wolves were the ones to do it.
It was an entertaining affair with both sides having their moments, but one Jorgen Strand Larsen made the difference with a brace off the bench to take Wolves through to the next round.

The noise around Strand Larsen’s future didn’t seem to bother him, as he took both goals really well.

When recapping the game, Jarvis admitted Wolves deserved the result. He was particularly taken with Jorgen Strand Larsen, the hero of the evening.
He said: “It’s the good old-fashioned substitution, getting Strand Larsen on for Wolves.
“Brilliant centre forward, scores his two goals perfectly.”

And Jarvis isn’t the only one who thinks so. Newcastle also rate the Norwegian highly, and will surely continue in their pursuit.

But this might hopefully open Fosun’s eyes to the harsh reality.
Wolves won’t survive without Jorgen Strand Larsen
As grim as it sounds, it’s just the truth this ownership needs to hear.
Tonight was the perfect example of why Strand Larsen is so important to this team.
As Jarvis said, Wolves were the better team over the 90 minutes, and yet, with 10 to go, they trailed.

The play from Wolves was the best we’ve seen all season, but there was no one there to finish it.
If Wolves sell Strand Larsen, there’s not enough goals in this team to get through a Premier League season without seriously flirting with the possibility of relegation. Just say no.
