Paul Robinson criticised Karl Darlow for switching off in the build-up to his mistake against Sheffield Wednesday.
Leeds lost to Sheffield Wednesday on penalties after the game had ended 1-1 in normal time, with Darlow’s mistake coming further under the microscope.
Daniel Farke’s options in goal have been a topic of much debate this summer.
Leeds signed Lucas Perri from Lyon in a deal worth around £15.6million, and the Brazilian has taken his place in between the sticks for Farke so far.
The 27-year-old got off the mark with a clean sheet against Everton on the opening day, but struggled to deal with corners when Arsenal beat Leeds 5-0 on Saturday 23 August.

Paul Robinson says Karl Darlow made a mess of Sheffield Wednesday opener
Leeds were huge favourites to beat Sheffield Wednesday, with the home side starting an inexperienced side.
Farke’s side, in comparison, featured Switzerland international Noah Okafor and former Newcastle United man Sean Longstaff, among others.
But in the 63rd minute, Sheffield Wednesday took an unlikely lead, with Jamal Lowe’s effort going down as an own goal for Darlow.

The goalkeeper had saved an initial shot, but could only parry to his right and into the path of the forward, who promptly fired the ball back towards goal.
Darlow attempted to save the strike, but could only deflect it into his own net, leading to wild Sheffield Wednesday celebrations.
Speaking on BBC 5 Live, ex-goalkeeper Paul Robinson said: “We said about the Leeds United goalkeeper, he’s been completely unemployed this whole game.
“Switched off, he made a real mess of the shot, the ball comes out to Jamal Lowe, squeezes through Karl Darlow’s hands and it gives Sheffield Wednesday the unlikeliest of leads at Hillsborough tonight.
“In a game that they’ve not really been in other than defensively chasing the ball, structurally very good, they’ve gone down the other end and could be making one of the biggest shocks.”
Goalkeeping issues persist for Daniel Farke and Leeds
Farke would have hoped the issues surrounding his goalkeeper were over when Perri’s arrival was announced.
But after the Brazilian’s uncertain performance against Arsenal, and Darlow’s mistake on Tuesday, the German appears to have been thrown back to square one.
Leeds will be unlikely to make a knee-jerk reaction in the transfer window, but will be concerned about their goalkeeping situation this season.
