Newcastle United Strikes Global Crypto Deal With BYDFi

Newcastle United has announced a multi-year partnership with global crypto exchange BYDFi, naming the platform its Official Cryptocurrency Exchange Partner. The collaboration marks another step in the club’s growing international profile and will give fans access to digital finance tools and services offered by BYDFi.

Peter Silverstone, Newcastle’s Chief Commercial Officer, said the agreement reflects the shared values of both organisations. He described BYDFi as a forward-looking company with a mission that aligns closely with the club’s ambitions. “We’re delighted to welcome BYDFi to the Newcastle United family. Their focus on helping people build sustainable financial futures resonates with our vision and values,” Silverstone noted.

Newcastle’s commercial appeal has grown significantly in recent years. Since the 2021/22 season, the club has recorded the second-highest broadcast audience among Europe’s leading football teams. In the Asia-Pacific region, it ranks fifth in Premier League television viewership, while its social media presence has been the fastest-growing in the league over the past season. Silverstone emphasised that the new partnership offers BYDFi a powerful stage to engage with fans and deliver new digital experiences worldwide.

BYDFi’s co-founder and CEO, Michael Hung, said the collaboration embodies the exchange’s philosophy of turning ideas into action. “Sustained success—whether in football or finance—comes from consistent effort and belief. Partnering with Newcastle United allows us to showcase that mindset globally. For us, ‘BUIDL Your Dream Finance’ is about making long-term visions a reality,” Hung explained.

Founded in 2020, BYDFi has rapidly expanded its reach, now serving more than one million users across 190 countries. The company sees its alliance with Newcastle as both a milestone and a signal of its ambitions to grow further on the global stage.
