Popular NBA star does not take digs against WWE lightly.
An indirect part of WWE for several years now, 25-year-old Tyrese Haliburton recently made his official WWE debut as a DLC character for the 2K25 video game.
Currently nursing an injury, Haliburton recently appeared for an interview with Logan Paul on the ImPaulsive podcast on YouTube. Speaking about how people get dismissive about pro-wrestling and WWE’s scripted nature, Haliburton presented himself as a gatekeeper of the sport.
“I get in debates with people all the time. I’m like, ‘I’m going to SummerSlam.’ They’re like, ‘You watch that sh*t?’ Yeah, motherf*cker! You watch movies, don’t you? You think Spider-Man real? He ain’t coming to save you, bro. You’ve been to a musical before? People go out there and they have to perform, and if they f*ck up, everybody’s gonna see it and laugh? That’s the same thing here, except these guys are putting their bodies through f*cking everything.”

Recovering from his Achilles tendon injury, Haliburton recently hosted a youth basketball camp.
Tyrese Haliburton Wanted To Be A Part Of WWE Royal Rumble
Earlier this year, on The Pat McAfee Show, Haliburton recalled a conversation with Triple H, where he had presented his desire to be a part of the Royal Rumble match.
“I wanted to be in the Rumble. Me and Triple H talked about it. He was like, ‘A lot of people are asking if you’re going to be in the Rumble. I just laughed in their face.’ ‘What the f*ck?’ I think he was a little scared about me doing it in the middle of the season. Remember when Brunson got in there and pushed himself up with the broken hand and Triple H kind of had a heart attack?”
