The Miami Dolphins completed their 2025 roster cuts, dropping from the preseason limit of 90 players to the regular season limit of 53, on Tuesday. Following the league’s 4 p.m. Eastern deadline to make the moves, the team released their initial roster.
The key word is initial. Changes will be coming as the team claims players from other clubs off waivers, signs free agents - including the reported signing of cornerback Rasul Douglas - and makes other moves to continue to tweak the roster.
The team will start filling their practice squad tomorrow, once waivers claims are complete. One move the team will likely make will include signing a kicker to the practice squad, allowing them to elevate him for game day while they wait for Jason Sanders, who was placed on injured reserve, to be cleared and designated for return.
