Arsenal have retained their spot at the top of the Premier League log going into the third week this season.
The Gunners remained at the top after Liverpool’s 3-2 win against Newcastle United on Monday night.
Recall that the Gunners had defeated Leeds United 5-0 to move to the top of the log on goals difference ahead of North London neighbours Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham had defeated Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City earlier in the day in a 2-0 scorelines.
Liverpool, on the other hand, also fought had to ensure they remain among the top three clubs with a perfect record so far, after they pulled off a dramatic 3-2 win at Newcastle.
The Reds made a trip to St James Park following their 4-2 win against Bournemouth in their first game of the season.
Ryan Gravenberch and Hugo Ekitike scored either side of half time to give Liverpool a two-goal lead.

While Bruno Guimaraes and William Osula scored equalizers for the Magpies, Rio Ngumoha scored a dramatic late winner just four days before his 17th birthday.
Arsenal will now travel to Anfield to play Liverpool in a top-of-the-table clash on Sunday, with one of them to lose their perfect record this season.
