The 37-year-old made his Football League breakthrough with the Bees in 2008 and is still chasing more success with Walsall 18 years on.
His old chant echoed from the home stands and the Walsall contingent joined them by signing his name loud and proud in the away section.
Everywhere he goes, an outpour of love and adoration naturally seems to follow. It's a legacy few can lay claim to, and Adomah, as humble as ever, was amazed by the reception he received.
Barnet was a 'beautiful moment'

"It was amazing to go back to Barnet. That's a place I call home because that's where I turned professional nearly 18 years ago," Adomah reminisced.
"To go back, and for the supporters just to remember me was a nice touch as well. Still signing my old song was a beautiful moment.
"That's a place that I'll never forget and it was a nice gesture from them."
Adomah scored 20 goals in 120 appearances for Barnet following his switch from non-league Harrow Borough and his spell at Edgar Street propelled him into the Championship with Bristol City in 2010.
'Whatever the badge... I will give my all'

The former Ghana international went on to make a record 526 appearances in the second-tier and twice achieved promotion to the Premier League with Middlesbrough and Aston Villa respectively.
Although he never featured in the top-flight for the latter, Adomah has maintained a strong rapport with the Villa faithful, after scoring 22 times in 125 times during his three seasons at the club.
Villa fans showed their appreciation for their former promotion hero during the Saddlers' 1-0 win over Unai Emery's side in pre-season.
The very mention of Villa brings a smile to his face, as Adomah spoke of his pride at still being remembered six years later.
"I think the reason why fans take to me is probably because I work my socks off," he continued.
"Before I even display how I play, or even if I have a bad game, I still come off the pitch sweating and after working hard.
"Everywhere I've been, I've just worked hard, it doesn't matter what badge I represent. That's maybe why they still remember me and it's nice that my old teams remember me."

Adomah is the oldest player in the Walsall squad, but has been joined in the leadership pack alongside Jamille Matt by former Cardiff City teammate Aden Flint.
"I played with Aden back in the day at Cardiff City and you can tell he's a leader along with Jamille," he added.
"All of the senior pros are leaders in our team and they show their leadership qualities on the pitch and off the pitch as well.
"That is evident to see whenever Aden is on the pitch just because of how vocal he is."
