Tino Livramento has revealed how Eddie Howe has shut out the noise in the Newcastle United dressing room - and players have not been affected by the Alexander Isak saga.
The former Chelsea full-back admits that he gets "excited" by the prospect of Howe's training sessions and that every player currently in the dressing room is treated like a friend.
Livramento has had a solid start to the season and weighed in with an assist with the Toon star admitting it came as a result of new set-piece coach Martin Mark's game plan from a throw-in which led to Bruno Guimaraes hauling Newcastle back into the clash against Liverpool.
With all the noise around St James' Park due to Isak's situation, Livramento said it has not affected performances and reflected: "You look back to the way we started last season we were getting results and not playing our best.
"This season we have started really well, we are playing football really well and looking like ourselves off the ball, we have been aggressive.
"We just haven't got the results to match that. I am very proud of the team and the way everyone reacted.
"I feel almost an excitement to go into training again and be ready for Saturday again."
And expanding on Isak questions and whether his refusal to play had seeped into the dressing room, the England international told reporters after the game: "It doesn't change anything, the gaffer makes sure that there is no outside influence coming into the dressing room.
"When I go into training every day I am going in with my friends.
"There is a great feel around the club inside right now; we ignore things outside."
Newcastle must take the positives from the clash against Liverpool into Saturday night's powder-keg northern encounter with Leeds.
Livramento said: "We did enough to at least draw the game. We had the momentum, and then things happened the way they did.
"There's nothing we can do but take the positives from the game."
