Aston Villa may have to hold off interest in Morgan Rogers as the transfer window comes to a close.
Aston Villa’s financial issues have been well documented and have restricted Unai Emery and Monchi from making the signings that they would have wanted to.
It has also left Aston Villa in a vulnerable position when it comes to Morgan Rogers, as Premier League rivals may test the waters over a potential sale.
The likes of Liverpool and Chelsea had been linked with Rogers, but the Villa Park outfit will be desperate to keep him.

Villa News presents the exclusive opinion of iconic football commentator Ian Darke.
Tottenham would have to pay over the odds for Morgan Rogers
Aston Villa chief Damian Vidagany hit out over the reports that Tottenham had made contact, but Spurs could still make a bid.
However, Darke believes that Villa would not sell the former Middlesbrough star, unless the price was way over the odds.

Speaking exclusively to Villa News, he said: “You would think Aston Villa fans and Unai Emery will be saying ‘over my dead body’ about letting Morgan Rogers out of the door.
“He is one of the crown jewels of the club, if not the crown jewel at the moment, but they do have financial issues, and they are a little bit playing with their hands tied behind their backs.
“I always believe every player has his price, but I think Tottenham or whoever would have to offer ‘blow you out of the water’ money, especially this late in the window, when Villa would have no time at all to replace him.
“If they lost Rogers, that would cast a big shadow over Villa and what they might be able to do this season.”

Aston Villa cannot sell Morgan Rogers
Financial concerns or not, Villa cannot allow the England star to leave at this point in the window.
The fee may be extortionate given his limited experience at the top level, but it would leave them in the lurch, with just six days left to buy a replacement.
Rogers is on an upward trajectory, and that should be in B6, rather than London or anywhere else for that matter.
