Newcastle United have had yet another bid for Jorgen Strand Larsen rejected by Wolves.
The Magpies have faced a lot of difficulties all summer, with the likes of Joao Pedro, Benjamin Sesko and Liam Delap among others all deciding against joining them.
The Alexander Isak saga is still ongoing, while the deal to bring Yoane Wissa to Newcastle has also stalled due to Brentford’s demands.
Larsen is high on Newcastle’s list of targets, and work is being done to sign him.
Jorgen Strand Larsen’s stance after Wolves reject another Newcastle bid
Newcastle United tabled a £50 million bid to sign Strand Larsen a few days ago.
That bid was turned down by Wolverhampton Wanderers, who, as TBR Football revealed, were looking for a fee close to £70 million for Strand Larsen.
On Tuesday, Newcastle tabled an improved offer worth £55 million for the striker, but that proposal was once again turned down by Wolves.
Jan Aage Fjortoft, who serves as an advisor to the Norway national football team and is also a pundit these days, has revealed that Larsen has made it clear that he wants to join Newcastle before the window shuts.
After news about the Toon’s new offer emerged, Fjortoft tweeted: “Bid of £55 million rejected, but I have been told that Newcastle will be back again.
“Jorgen Strand Larsen has been very clear that he wants this deal to go through. He wants to play for Newcastle United.”

What would Jorgen Strand Larsen bring to Newcastle United?
Larsen is not the big-name that Isak is, but he is a fine player.
The Norwegian, who is 6ft 4in tall, is a handful for any defender to deal with, and he showed his quality by scoring 14 goals and providing four assists in his first-ever Premier League season.
If Newcastle do sign him, we think Larsen will score more goals than he did last term and will prove to be a massive upgrade on Callum Wilson.
The Wolves star’s physicality, aerial threat, and movement will make the Magpies a lot stronger than they have been in their first two games without Isak.
To add to that, Larsen is still only 25, which means he will get even better in the coming years.
