Isidor started last night’s Carabao Cup defeat to Huddersfield Town playing as a central striker alongside Marc Guiu, but the pair failed to ask any serious questions of the Terriers defence before the break.
Le Bris changed his side’s shape at half-time, moving Isidor to the left flank and fielding Guiu as the only central striker, and Sunderland looked more threatening after the break as a result.
Isidor briefly played on the left when he first moved to Wearside at the start of last season, but has spent the vast majority of his Sunderland career in a central role.
However, with Romaine Mundle still sidelined and Tommy Watson having left to join Brighton, the [Black Cats](http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/football/sunderland) do not have a lot of natural options for their left-attacking role, meaning Isidor could be an option with Eliezer Mayenda currently the first-choice centre-forward.
“We spoke with Wilson earlier in the season about his versatility and the requirements of this Premier League,” said Le Bris, who watched his side crash out of the Carabao Cup last night as Milan Aleksic’s shootout miss proved decisive.
“We need different options. We need pace, we need probably starters and finishers. We know Wilson can start as a nine, he can finish as a nine, but he can also start as an 11, like he did this evening \[in the second half\]. I think that is a good option for the club.”

Sunderland are still hoping to sign another forward player before the transfer window closes on Monday evening, with the purchase of another centre-half another key priority.
Le Bris and the rest of the recruitment team will also spend the next few days trying to set up deals for some of the fringe players that have been available for transfer throughout the summer.
“We need outs, that is clear,” said Le Bris. “We know that will be really important, but we know that with the market, it is often only in the last couple of days when there are many movements. We will have to see of that is the case.
“Then, with new signings, we will have to see as well. We have spoken about the subject a lot, and we know how it works. There is a lot of work behind the scenes, then we will see.”
