These final days of the transfer window are expected to be interesting at FC Barcelona. After all, certain departures are already planned and expected to go ahead one way or another. However, there are also other interesting cases that involve players like Marc Casado.
Despite the 21-year-old midfielder’s reported interest in staying at the club, there have been various reports linking him to a move to other clubs this summer. However, Hansi Flick’s recent statements seem to have had an impact on that possibility.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Flick’s public backing of both Casado and even Fermin Lopez has led certain suitors to cool their interest. In Casado’s case specifically, it would appear that some major clubs are now looking at alternative midfield options.
West Ham United, for instance, were previously linked to the player but are reportedly now looking at alternative options. Similarly, Atletico Madrid have also reportedly not made a major move for the player since last week. Other clubs, like Chelsea and Wolverhampton Wanderers, have also apparently put this option on standby.

Lopez’s case, however, could be one to keep an eye on in these final days of the summer window. Reportedly, Chelsea are quite interested in the Spanish midfielder, and they have even been in contact with the player’s camp recently.
As for Casado, Barça would only listen to offers for the player if he requests a departure. For now, that has not happened, and it is assumed and reported that the player intends to stay at the Catalan club and does not wish to move for now.
