West Ham midfielder [Lucas Paquetá](https://www.claretandhugh.info/lucas-paqueta-bio/) could still leave the club in this transfer window under specific circumstances.
[Claret & Hugh](https://www.claretandhugh.info/category/news/) asked a top source at the London Stadium if there was any truth in reports of interest in Paquetá and the likelihood of him departing. Speculation has been mounting over the future of the Brazilian, who has scored in his last two games for West Ham.
The Hammers insider told us: “It’s possible, but we’d have to sign a lot of players before we sold him.”
This follows a claim from a source close to the player over the weekend, who told C&H a transfer was “50/50 at this stage”. However, it’s fair to say much has happened since then.
Soungoutou Magassa is scheduled to fly to London for a medical today after agreeing a £17.5m move from Monaco. However, for West Ham to sanction the sale of Paquetá it would take more than just the signing of one player, and the 27-year-old is unlikely to force a move.
