Kicking off the college football season at home? That's so last year. Nebraska and Cincinnati will begin their 2025 season at Arrowhead Stadium, home of the biggest team in the NFL, the Chiefs.
Their seasons kick off on Thursday.
For both sides, it's a full circle moment. The Kingdom will host Big Red and their own Patrick Mahomes look-alike in Dylan Raiola. The Bearcats will play on the home turf of the program's most successful product, Travis Kelce.
More than that, the season-opener sets a standard. Nebraska is on the verge of a breakthrough, especially with Raiola in his second season as QB. Their matchup against the Bearcats may not be a ranked meeting, but the pressure is on under the Kansas City lights.
The same goes for Cincinnati. Things haven't been the same since their 2021 playoff season, and the team only went 5-7 last year. But each year is a new page, and what better way to begin it all than at the NFL's most iconic venue.
