Garnacho to Chelsea:'Major'issue needs to be resolved before transfer can be granted

Manchester United attacker Alejandro Garnacho has reportedly rejected a fresh offer from the Saudi Pro League, with the Argentina international determined to complete a move to Chelsea.

Garnacho fell out with Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim following last season's Europa League final, having been furious that he was not selected in the starting XI for the clash with Tottenham Hotspur.

The attacker hit out at Amorim after the match, while his brother and agent also had firm words for the Man United head coach, who quickly told the ex-Atletico Madrid youngster that he was free to leave this summer.

Garnacho is currently in Man United's 'bomb squad' alongside Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia, with all four set to leave before the transfer window closes for business.

A number of clubs, including Bayern Munich and Napoli, have been linked with Garnacho this summer, but it is understood that the forward is only interested in a move to Chelsea.

Garnacho 'turns down' fresh Saudi Pro League offer

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Garnacho has received a fresh offer from the Saudi Pro League over the last 48 hours, but he has turned down the lucrative switch.

Romano is allegedly only interested in a move to Chelsea, and 'all parties' are expecting a switch to Stamford Bridge to be confirmed before the transfer deadline.

Personal terms have reportedly already been agreed, but the two clubs are yet to settle on a fee, and it is thought that the Premier League rivals remain some way apart in terms of their valuations.

Man United's asking price for Garnacho at the start of the summer transfer window was thought to be around £70m, but it has since dropped to £45m.

Chelsea, on the other hand, are not believed to be willing to spend more than £25m on the forward.

Man United must hold firm in Garnacho negotiations

Garnacho has only just turned 21, and he has represented Man United on 144 occasions in all competitions, scoring 26 goals and registering 22 assists in the process.

Last season, meanwhile, he managed 11 goals and 10 assists in 58 appearances for the Red Devils, and despite some off-the-field concerns, he is one of the most talented young forwards in the Premier League.

As a result, Man United must hold firm, as £25m for a player of his quality is simply not enough, especially as he still has another three years left to run on his contract with the 20-time English champions.

Garnacho wants Chelsea, and the Blues are keen on a deal, but Man United will allegedly not be happy unless they receive at least £40m for the forward.
