Jason Cundy taunts Celtic
Shock jock and former Premier League footballer Jason Cundy stuck the boot into Celtic as he savaged Brendan Rodgers and his side for their Champions League shocker.
The loudmouth Londoner has a history for sticking the boot into Scottish football and took yet another savage swipe along with sneering sidekick Jamie O’Hara.
It came just hours after the Premiership champions crashed out of UEFA’s premier competition following a penalty shoot-out defeat to Kairat Almaty - currently third in the Kazakhstan league table - after two goalless draws.
Opening up their Sports Bar show on talkSPORT, former Tottenham and Wolves midfielder O’Hara screamed: “Scotland have gone and done it again. Celtic are out of the Champions League after losing to THIRD place Kazak side Kairat.
“An absolute shambles. No excuse for that performance. They’re an absolute disgrace. The third place Kazakh team. Come on. I don’t even know who they are.”
And that was an invite for Cundy - who played for Chelsea and Tottenham during his career - to go in hard on the Hoops. He said: “Over two legs, not to score a goal and to get knocked out on pens - that is shocking. It’s truly shocking. I know Scottish football comes in from some clog - some fairly some unfairly - but that is mind-blowing. Mind-blowing!
“They’ve dropped into the Europa League and Rangers will probably join them. It better suits Rangers but Celtic not to be in there. That is shambolic. It really is. It truly is a terrible night for Celtic.

“The pens as well. The keeper made three saves to his right. Penalties are not a foregone conclusion but it shouldn’t get to that. They had their chance last week at Celtic Park. That’s their chance.
“To go there 0-0. Brendan Rodgers said in his presser they knew what they had to do. It was in their own hands. Honestly. That is a terrible, terrible result for Celtic. They’ve got a better chance of winning the Europa League but it’s the finances in the Champions League.
“This is an embarrassment. Wowsers. I know the first leg was a real chance to gain some momentum but even the second leg going away, I couldn’t help but think Celtic would find a way.”
